Operations Manager

Job Description

The Operations Manager will collaborate with the President/CEO, Director of Development, and the Alliance team to provide strategic oversight and management of daily operations. You will oversee the implementation of initiatives to enhance efficiencies, streamline performance, and support fundraising efforts in alignment with the organization's objectives.


 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize the organization's efficiency, productivity, and quality.

  • Be a subject matter expert in process improvement, organizational design, and management systems.

  • Ensure operational policies and procedures are routinely updated and documented.

  • Evaluate hardware and software tools and recommend changes or updates to streamline operational processes.

  • Coordinate hardware and software maintenance and management.

  • Facilitate day-to-day operations and manage external relationships for items like insurance, security, internet, etc. 

  • Manage the logistics and merchandise for the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular fundraiser under supervision of the Director of Development.

  • Coordinate with the team to ensure appropriate staff coverage of events, which are frequently in the evening or on the weekend.

  • Monitor and coordinate rentals of Alberta O. Jones Park.

  • Assist with scheduling for senior management.

  • Responsible for onboarding/offboarding employees.

  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong collaborative and organizational skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to work successfully as an individual contributor and a team player.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to multitask, and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail, navigating changing priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Experience with Hubspot or comparable CRM tool preferred.
