Alberta O. Jones Park Day

Join us for the second annual Alberta O. Jones Park Day, in celebration of Phase 1 construction currently happening at Alberta O. Jones Park, the Parks Alliance's largest project to date!

We will have 30+ community organizations present along with some local small businesses, and our team will be on-site ready to collect community feedback for Phase 2 of the park!

This family-friendly event will include catering by Gore's SmokeOut BBQ, beverages from Amiracle Ade, entertainment by 103.9 The Groove and AMPED, as well as an outdoor roller rink!

The vacant land along Maple St between Dr. W.J. Hodge and 25th has transformed into a vibrant public park.

The first phase of park construction—on five of 20 acres—began in March 2023.

Alberta Odell Jones

1930-1965

The park is named for pioneering attorney and civil rights champion, Alberta Odell Jones, whose first law office was located just blocks from the park site.
